Global Awareness Through Experience (GATE) has been offering educational trips to Central America and Eastern Europe for more than 25 years and currently offers three categories of alternative tourism:

• Our Immersion Program acquaints the participant with the cultural, political, economic and religious climates of El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Eastern Europe, Oaxaca, France and Venezuela..
• Our Franciscan Pilgrimage in Mexico allows the traveler to see historical sites and the present reality through the eyes of Francis of Assisi.
• GATE provides several programs each year for seminaries, universities, parish and youth groups, and other interest groups.
