Sister Sarah is both a longtime advocate of mental wellness and a person managing her own diagnosis of anxiety, depression and personality disorder. She has also shared her experiences, coping skills and stories of hope, healing and health as a writer and spiritual director at the Franciscan Spirituality Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Through her personal experience and work at FSC, she has reached many others struggling with mental illness and “become a role model” in the community.

There is more to Sister Sarah’s Shining Star story and others as she’s told them in the Messy Jesus Business blog
FSPA shares her mission of advocacy for mental wellness through many initiatives that include a Seeding a Legacy of Healing investment in People Incorporated, a nonprofit organization which provides “vital integrated behavioral and mental health services in Minnesota.”
