Sister Sue named LCWR president-elect

On June 29, the Leadership Conference of Women Religious shared the following: “We are happy to announce that Sue Ernster, FSPA, is our new president-elect. She will join Maureen Geary, OP, and Rebecca Ann Gemma, OP,  in the LCWR presidency. The terms of our newly elected leaders will begin at the conclusion of the national assembly in August.” Sister Sue added, “This is a three year commitment serving first as president-elect, then president and then past president. Serving as FSPA president is my main priority and will continue while serving LCWR. This opportunity will increase our collaboration opportunities, enhancing our dialogue of religious life today and into the future.”

FSPA is a member of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious. LCWR is the association of the leaders of congregations of Catholic women religious (sisters) in the United States. The conference has about 1350 members.
