Sisters Sarah's 'Nativity Experience,' Sister Malinda's 'Sounds of Greccio'

La Crosse Tribune announced “Franciscan Spirituality Center offers two nativity events Dec. 16,” with Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration Sarah Hennessesy and Malinda Gerke as facilitators. 

Sister Sarah will present “The Nativity Experience,” bringing discussion, art and a tour of nativity scenes to Viterbo University’s San Damiano Chapel from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

And all are invited to “Advent Bowls: Sounds of Greccio” that evening at San Damiano Chapel from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The experience will include Taize-style prayer, paired with Tom Roberts’ Tibetan singing bowls and Sister Malinda’ harp music, “a unique opportunity to reflect on your spiritual journey in a gathered community that shares varied faith traditions.”
