Open watercolor studio.
Artistic expression offers the opportunity for spiritual growth, transformation and healing. This monthly open watercolor studio is a chance to play and learn new techniques without worrying about perfection or finished product. Meet new friends and practice listening to your heart as you paint.
You are invited to attend any or all sessions. Each month features a different theme.
Note: Participants ages 8-16 may attend for free with a paid adult. Call 608-791-5295 for more information.
Supplies needed: Supplies needed: watercolor paints and paper, pencil, pen, brushes, paper towels, water container, reference photo or object (depending on theme). Supplies are provided to in-person participants, but feel free to bring your own paints, brushes, etc.
MARCH THEME: March marks a transition from the cold, dark days of winter to the brighter, warmer days of spring. The Spring Equinox occurs this year on March 20. It represents new life, beginnings and growth. Join us as we honor our connection to Earth and the coming light that nourishes us. Our prayer practice for the evening will be drawing/painting one of the first signs of spring: pussy willows. The flowers are called “catkins” and are one of the early bloomers. You also can choose to paint any of the spring ephemerals that grace our
landscape. Please bring a photo to work from.
