Speaking the language of opportunity and possibility

An upcoming Coulee Region Immigration Summit will spotlight the ways that people who migrate enrich our community. Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Eileen McKenzie will lead an immersive learning session that focuses on the power of language that is filled with dignity and hope. A panel will include people in migration, local employers and the Humanitarian Parole program, all bringing their personal perspectives. Attendees will leave the summit with skills for constructive conversations and inspired to accompany and advocate for people who migrate.

An opportunity to continue the conversation will be available for all interested. We’ll march to Mexcal, 333 Main Street, where complimentary appetizers will be provided from 4 to 6 p.m.
