Screening of "The Letter: A Message for Our Earth"
04/10/25
5:00 pm
Location: The Rivoli Theatre and Pizzeria, 117 4th Street N, La Crosse, WI
In recognition of Earth Day, the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration are hosting a free pizza and movie night on April 10 at the Rivoli Theatre. The evening begins at 5 p.m. with complimentary pizza, followed by a special screening of "The Letter: A Message for Our Earth" at 5:30 p.m.
"The Letter" is a thought-provoking documentary that explores the urgent challenges facing our planet, weaving together powerful personal stories with the latest insights on the environmental crisis.
Inspired by Pope Francis' message on the environment, "The Letter" shares an inclusive message for all people, regardless of faith, highlighting how our choices impact both the planet and the people who call it home. It reminds us that caring for the Earth means caring for each other.
The message is especially meaningful to Franciscans worldwide this year as 2025 marks the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of the Creatures, St. Francis of Assisi’s famous hymn celebrating the interconnectedness of all creation.
The event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. To register, visit rivoli.net.
