The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration are featured in the May/June 2024 issue of Catholic Life Magazine. This edition highlights the National Eucharistic Procession, with day two focusing on our 175 years of prayer, witness and service.
The story, “NEP Day 2: Prayer, Witness and Service,” was written by Jane Comeau, Director of Communications for FSPA. Jane shared the journey of FSPA, from FSPA's beginning starting in Ettenbeuren, Bavaria to the present day in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The article also honors, Servant of God Sister Thea Bowman, an inspirational FSPA whose cultural contributions and advocacy for inclusivity left a lasting impact on the Catholic Church.
As we celebrate 175 years of prayer, witness and service, we reflect on our mission rooted in the Franciscan tradition. Our commitment to perpetual adoration, social justice, ecospirituality and cultural inclusivity continues to guide our work today. From founding educational institutions like Viterbo University to engaging in social justice initiatives, our ministries have evolved to meet the changing needs of the world.
We are proud to see our story shared with a wider audience through Catholic Life Magazine. This feature not only commemorates our past but also highlights our ongoing efforts to foster the teachings of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi.
