Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Eileen Neumann, age 95, died on Nov. 22, 2024, at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Born in Ancón, Panama, Sister Eileen settled in La Crosse to study medical laboratory technology and, with the influence of an FSPA catechesim teacher, professed final vows with the congregation in 1957. As a medical technologist and cryptotechnologist, she ministered in Wisconsin, Idaho, Iowa, ArizonaLouisiana, South Dakota and Washington, where she served FSPA’s Clare Spirituality Center as a master gardener. Sister Eileen will be remembered for her perspective of positivity and humor in many situations, her work in jail ministry and her love for Jesus, her community and Tabasco sauce.
