"May God bless and keep you. May God's face shine upon you and be gracious to you." Today, as we celebrate Sister Michele's vow renewal ceremony, we "trust in the slow work of God" (Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, SJ).
On July 8, the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration celebrated the commitment of “yes” to God with Sister Michele Pettit’s vow renewal. Sisters gathered in Mary of the Angels Chapel to be with Sister Michele as she takes this next step in religious life.
“I would like to thank everyone who has been and continues to be part of my journey as an FSPA,” said Michele. “I am most grateful to all of you. In accordance with St. Francis’ favorite blessing, ‘May God bless and keep you. May God’s face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May God look upon you with kindness and give you peace.”
Coming from a family of educators, Sister Michele has served as an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in public/community health education since 2010. She joined FSPA as a candidate in 2017 and was welcomed into the novitiate program a year later.
