Sister Sarah Hennessey was recently featured in an article by WXOW News 19 for her guided meditation sessions aimed at supporting mental health.

Since 2019, Sister Sarah has been leading “Meditation for Emotional Health,” a weekly meditation session designed to help individuals cope with mental health challenges. Sister Sarah hosts these sessions virtually, allowing her to connect with participants around the world.

In each session, Sister Sarah checks in with all individuals, offering positive affirmations. She draws from her experience with anxiety and depression to guide others. As Sister Sarah shares in the article, “It calms me down and also kind of widens my heart and brings me into a broader space. My thinking, which gets kind of tight, opens up and I’m able to see new possibilities.”

These guided meditation sessions are free and are held every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. For more information and to register, visit the Franciscan Spirituality Center’s website.
